Born in Romania in 1895.
Marcel Janco was one of the founders of the Dada movement in 1916 a major art movement of the 20th century. In the midst of second World War in 1941 he succeeded to reach Israel. He settled in Tel-Aviv and taught painting. In 1953 he founded the Ein-Hod artist village. During his life, Janco exhibited in many important exhibitions around the world. He was a significant image in the history of Israeli art.
